Laurus Corporation, a private company based out of Los
Angeles, California. Philip "Phil" Cyburt plays a leading role in
expanding the firm, which recently acquired Vail Cascade
Resort & Spa.
Laurus will be spending $35 million to transform Vail Cascade
Resort & Spa into a more upscale destination. Hotel rooms
will all be upgraded right down to the fixtures, and some guest
rooms will be converted to space for new amenities. The spa
and restaurant will be redesigned in keeping with this more
upscale status.
An inherent advantage of the resort is its large conference
space and its ability to accommodate a larger group.

3. Vail Cascade Resort & Spa
• The upgrade is expected to attract group business and
corporate meetings, as well as new international clients.
As a luxury destination, the resort will be affiliated with
The Luxury Collection, a division of Starwood Hotels &
Resorts, and be part of an organization with established
marketing arms and an online reservation system.
