Professional Facilities Management, Inc. (PFM) has selected Michael P. Tipton as the general manager of the newly constructed Lauderhill Performing Arts Center in Lauderhill, Florida. Tipton has extensive experience managing performing arts facilities, including nearly a decade as the operations supervisor for the Mesa Arts Center in Mesa, Arizona. PFM President J.L. Singleton said they are pleased to have someone with Tipton's experience to open and operate the new Lauderhill center. Tipton expressed his excitement about the opportunity and looking forward to showcasing local talent in the community.

Michael P. Tipton as General Manager for
Lauderhill Performing Arts Center in Florida
Providence, RI – J.L. “Lynn” Singleton, president of Professional Facilities Management, Inc.
(PFM) announces the selection of Michael P. Tipton as general manager of the newly-
constructed Lauderhill Performing Arts Center in Lauderhill, Florida.
Tipton holds both an M.A. and B.A. from Florida State University (FSU) and brings an
extensive range of facilities management experience to the position. He was recently the
Operations Manager for the Pensacola Bay Center in Pensacola, Florida and prior to that, he
held the position of Operations Supervisor for the Mesa Arts Center in Mesa, Arizona for nearly
a decade – there, his operational responsibilities encompassed four theatres, five visual arts

galleries, three performing arts studios, two outdoor performance spaces, and 14 visual arts
studios on the Center’s seven acre campus.
Tipton’s other Florida experience includes teaching and fulfilling technical roles at his alma
mater, FSU, as well as operations management and technical direction at Wisconsin’s Sharon
Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts and at the Colonnade Theaters at Louisiana State University.
Singleton said, “We are pleased to have someone with Michael’s depth and breadth of
experience in opening and operating public theatrical facilities as our general manager in the
beautiful new Lauderhill Performing Arts Center; he will not only do an excellent job with the
Center, but ultimately, we expect that he will become a trusted friend to and resource for the
Lauderhill community.”

Tipton and his wife, Kelly, are relocating to the Lauderhill area.
