A stolen HP ProBook laptop was recovered on September 26, 2012, after being taken during a residential burglary in Charleston, South Carolina. The suspect was identified and arrested through the use of Lojack for laptops, which enabled the recovery of the stolen property. REPORT: This laptop was stolen during a house theft by an acquaintance of the victim. The suspect
smashed a bedroom window and stole a laptop, TV and X-Box game console. LoJack for Laptops
identified the name and location of the user of the stolen laptop and this information was passed along
to the Charleston police. The computer was recovered, along with an additional stolen laptop, and the
suspect was arrested and pleaded guilty.
Although the suspect waited two months to use the stolen computer, LoJack for Laptops was still able
to identify her name and address resulting in additional property recovered and an arrest
