• High school
• Ages 15-17
• Class size 10-20 students (depending on the school size)
• Approximately fifty minutes, one in a half block period or 4 regular periods
3. LESSON PLAN LABOR AND DELIVERY
• Review the steps of labor by telling them or having them read the text book.
• Then assign groups to discuss the stages and what happens in the stages.
• Pull the groups back together and discuss the correct answers.
• Then show a video of the process, does not need to be a specific video.

• Go over the APGAR test that every new born goes through

• Breathing
• Heart rate
• Muscle tone
• Reflexes
• Jaundice (yellow pigmentation of the skin)

(YRBSS)
• Monitors six types of health risk behaviors
• Unintentional injuries or violence
• Sexual behaviors (pregnancy, STI, HIV)
• Alcohol and drug use
• Tobacco
• Unhealthy eating habits
• Not enough exercise

• Asthma
• Other health behaviors
• Sexual identity
• Sexual contact
• National survey by the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention)
