Bacon.js — Gérer efficacement les flux de données en JavascriptRodolphe Belouin
Web technologies evolve quickly, and every day we have to design more complex applications, and therefore heavier interfaces. Our Javascript code has to be able to manage a lot of events, and a lof of interactions.
Thus, it’s quite easy to get a lot of implicit links between the application entities (callback soup), and to get source code that isn’t reusable. In the same way that Promises handle asynchronous results, Bacon.js is a library helping the developer to define and compose data or event streams.
Relying upon the Functional Reactive Programming bases, we will design a simple and modular web application.
The Institute for Modern Government sought to develop a robust volunteer program but lacked resources. International Endeavors Consulting provided solutions including a volunteer database, best practices research, and a marketing plan. They created a database to manage volunteers, projects, and conducted interviews. Their recommendations included applying best practices around planning, recruitment, screening, orientation, supervision, evaluation and recognition. A survey found most volunteers were employed and willing to contribute 1-4 hours through personal relationships and social media.
1) The document discusses color theory and how color is used to portray characters in Malcolm X's autobiography and Disney films like The Sword in the Stone and Sleeping Beauty.
2) In Malcolm X's autobiography, the color of his first zoot suit (sky blue in the book, red in the film) is analyzed to show his transition from innocence to criminal behavior.
3) Color theory is also applied to characters like Arthur from The Sword in the Stone and the three fairies from Sleeping Beauty to represent traits, foreshadow destiny, and symbolize completeness.
4) The document argues that color plays an important role in influencing audience perception of characters and stories in American literature.
This document provides information about offences of grievous bodily harm (GBH) and GBH with intent under sections 20 and 18 of the Offences Against the Person Act 1861. It defines the actus reus and mens rea requirements for each offence, and explains that section 18 requires a specific intent to cause GBH or resist arrest, while section 20 only requires recklessness as to harm. Several cases are discussed that illustrate the level of injury required for GBH and how intent versus recklessness is assessed. Scenarios are presented to demonstrate how to determine the appropriate offence based on the injury caused and the defendant's state of mind.
This document provides an overview of criminal law in the UK, including definitions and punishments for various assault and battery offenses. It discusses the key elements of a crime, including actus reus (guilty act) and mens rea (guilty mind). Specific offenses covered include: common assault, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, malicious wounding/inflicting grievous bodily harm, and wounding/causing GBH with intent. Case examples are also provided to illustrate the application of these laws.
