To Whom It May Concern:
Thank you for the opportunity to recommend Kristin Halberg based on her service as a
junior volunteer. I did not have the pleasure of supervising Kristen, but based on the
information in her file, she was a very committed volunteer. She began her volunteering in
May 1991 and resigned February 1993. While here, Kristen contributed 155 hours to
patients, visitors and staff of Grossmont Hospital.
From the information I have, it looks as if Kristin is a very determined young lady and was
extremely competent. Most of the hours she spent volunteering were at our Main Hospital
Lobby Information Desk. Here her responsibilities included answering multiple phone
lines, admitting patients, giving directions or escorting a visitor, greeting visitors and
running errands. She handled this multi-tasked assignment with competence and grace.
Kristen also worked on our Oncology patient floor where she was responsible for visiting
with patients, helping patients with their needs, discharging patients, helping with clerical
needs at the nursing unit, running errands and miscellaneous duties.
From what I can tell based on the information in her file, Kristen was found to be reliable
and dedicated and was considered a true asset to our program.
