Mental health has been in the news quite a bit lately. Dozens of U.S. states are currently suing Meta for contributing to the youth mental health crisis by inserting addictive features into their products, while the U.S. Surgeon General is touring the nation to bring awareness to the growing epidemic of loneliness and isolation. The country has endured periods of low national morale, such as in the 1970s when high inflation and the energy crisis worsened public sentiment following the Vietnam War. The current mood, however, feels different. Gallup recently reported that national mental health is at an all-time low, with few bright spots to lift spirits.
To better understand how Americans are feeling and their attitudes towards mental health in general, ThinkNow conducted a nationally representative quantitative survey of 1,500 respondents and found some interesting differences among ethnic, age and gender groups.
Technology
For example, 52% agree that technology and social media have a negative impact on mental health, but when broken out by race, 61% of Whites felt technology had a negative effect, and only 48% of Hispanics thought it did.
While technology has helped us keep in touch with friends and family in faraway places, it appears to have degraded our ability to connect in person. Staying connected online is a double-edged sword since the same news feed that brings us pictures of the grandkids and fluffy kittens also feeds us news about the wars in Israel and Ukraine, the dysfunction in Washington, the latest mass shooting and the climate crisis.
Hispanics may have a built-in defense against the isolation technology breeds, owing to their large, multigenerational households, strong social support systems, and tendency to use social media to stay connected with relatives abroad.
Age and Gender
When asked how individuals rate their mental health, men rate it higher than women by 11 percentage points, and Baby Boomers rank it highest at 83%, saying it’s good or excellent vs. 57% of Gen Z saying the same.
Gen Z spends the most amount of time on social media, so the notion that social media negatively affects mental health appears to be correlated. Unfortunately, Gen Z is also the generation that’s least comfortable discussing mental health concerns with healthcare professionals. Only 40% of them state they’re comfortable discussing their issues with a professional compared to 60% of Millennials and 65% of Boomers.
Race Affects Attitudes
As seen in previous research conducted by ThinkNow, Asian Americans lag other groups when it comes to awareness of mental health issues. Twenty-four percent of Asian Americans believe that having a mental health issue is a sign of weakness compared to the 16% average for all groups. Asians are also considerably less likely to be aware of mental health services in their communities (42% vs. 55%) and most likely to seek out information on social media (51% vs. 35%).

1 PENGENALAN
1.1 SISTEM PENGURUSAN PENTAKSIRAN BERSEPADU (SPPB) KEMENTERIAN PENDIDIKAN MALAYSIA
SPPB merupakan satu sistem pengurusan pentaksiran yang baru, berterusan, dan menyeluruh bagi semua jenis pentaksiran
Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia samada berkaitan murid, guru dan institusi pendidikan. Sistem pentaksiran baru ini bertujuan
untuk memenuhi keperluan berikut:
• Sistem pentaksiran yang berterusan dan menyeluruh
• Sistem pentaksiran melibatkan pra-sekolah sehingga lepasan menengah seperti Kolej Matrikulasi dan Kolej Vokasional
• Merangkumi keupayaan proses yang berkaitan yang dikendalikan pada setiap peringkat sama ada di peringkat Kementerian,
Bahagian, Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri, Pejabat Pendidikan Daerah, dan sekolah
• Mengautomasi secara komprehensif segala proses-proses manual sedia dengan lebih bersepadu
• Berkeupayaan untuk menyimpan rekod dan sejarah pentaksiran murid yang sedang menjalani atau telah tamat pengajian
• Menganalisa pencapaian dan perkembangan murid berdasarkan instrumen-instrumen pentaksiran yang digunapakai
1.2 HAK MILIK DAN HAK CIPTA DATA
Tiada bahagian daripada mana-mana Sistem Pengurusan Pentaksiran Berpusat (SPPM) ini boleh diterbitkan semula, disimpan untuk
pengeluaran atau ditukarkan ke dalam sebarang bentuk sama ada secara elektronik, mekanikal, rakaman gambar dan sebagainya
tanpa kebenaran bertulis daripada pemilik terlebih dahulu. Semua hak milik dan hakcipta adalah di bawah kuasa Kementerian
Pendidikan Malaysia (KPM). Sebarang pertanyaan mengenai penggunaan dan permohonan data perlu dikemukakan kepada:

1.3 PENAFIAN
Sistem Pengurusan Pentaksiran Bersepadu disediakan bagi tujuan untuk mendapatkan maklumat semata dan tidak harus
bergantung sepenuhnya untuk ketepatan. Bahagian Pengurusan Maklumat, Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia (KPM) tidak akan
bertanggungjawab sekiranya terdapat sebarang kerugian di atas penggunaan maklumat dari sistem ini.

2 LOG MASUK DAN LOG KELUAR
2.1 RINGKASAN FUNGSI
Untuk pengguna-pengguna log masuk dan log keluar dari sistem SPPB. Untuk log masuk, pengguna mestilah berdaftar dengan
Sistem Pengurusan Identiti (idMe) KPM. Fungsi log masuk dan log keluar sistem SPPB adalah bersangkutan dengan sistem idMe.
Pengguna-pengguna sistem SPPB bolehlah merujuk kepada manual pengguna idMe untuk langkah-langkah selain di bawah.
2.2 LOG MASUK
Nota: Sila layari https://idme.moe.gov.my untuk pengoperasian sebenar ATAU https://idmstrn.moe.gov.my untuk tujuan latihan.

Langkah 1:
Pada skrin SPPB, klik butang di sebelah ID Pengguna, sistem
akan papar menu untuk log keluar
Langkah 2:
Klik butang log keluar. Sistem akan log keluar pengguna dari SPPB
dan akan paparkan skrin idMe seperti di bawah.

3.5 CARIAN
Nota A: Pengguna boleh membuat carian menggunakan pilihan data dan kumpulan data. Berikut adalah cara membuat carian
menggunakan data-data dan kumpulan data yang berkaitan dengan sesuatu rekod/jadual.
Langkah 1:
Klik untuk membuat pilihan data-data carian mengikut
kumpulan data. Sistem akan papar data-data dari kumpulan
data untuk dipilih. Pilihan boleh di buat untuk satu kumpulan
data atau kombinasi beberapa kumpulan data.
Langkah 2:
Klik butang ATAU
Klik butang untuk buat pilihan carian semula
Nota :
Sistem akan papar dapatan carian pada senarai rekod yang
mengandungi pilihan data carian atau kombinasi pilihan data
carian.

Nota B: Pengguna juga boleh membuat carian dengan tapisan maklumat. Dapatan carian akan dipapar terus sekiranya maklumat
ditapis berpadanan dengan pangkalan data untuk sesuatu rekod/jadual. Ikut langkah berikut.

3.6 MUAT NAIK FAIL/LAMPIRAN
Nota: Apabila terdapat arahan pengguna untuk memuat naik fail/lampiran, sistem akan buka dan papar file upload/file directory. Ikut
langkah-langkah di bawah untuk tujuan muat naik apabila file upload/file directory dipaparkan pada skrin.

3.7 HAPUS REKOD
Nota: Untuk menghapuskan sebarang rekod, sila pilih fail dari senarai dan pada kolum Tindakan ikut langkah-langkah berikut:
Langkah 1:
Klik untuk hapuskan rekod. Sistem akan papar
dan minta kepastian untuk memadam rekod seperti
gambar di bawah.
Langkah 2:
Klik butang OK untuk hapuskan rekod atau klik
butang CANCEL untuk mengekalkan rekod dan
kembali ke skrin sebelumnya.

Nota: Untuk mencetak sebarang fail/rekod/laporan/dll. sila ikut langkah-langkah berikut. Menu Fungsi Cetak adalah bergantung
kepada sistem peranti dan pelayar yang digunakan oleh pengguna.

Klik butang untuk membuat cetakan. Sistem akan
paparkan fail/rekod/laporan/dll. pada pelayar bersama menu
sistem cetakan. Sila rujuk gambar seterusnya.
