                                                             30—
                                                             Two additional gates on post
                                                             will open during morning hours to give motorist
                                                             alternate access to the installation and air field
                                                             and help relieve morning traffic congestion.

                                                             The Nash gate on NYS Route 26 across from the
                                                             Wheeler-Sack Army Airfield and the gate at
                                                             Munns Corners and NYS Route 3a in Deferiet will
                                                             be open from 5:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. Monday
                                                             through Friday to Department of Defense ID
                                                             cards holders only.

                                                             The opening of the Nash gate is expected to ease
                                                             traffic along NYS Route 26 in Great Bend. The
                                                             gate in Deferiet will provide an alternate route to
                                                             the airfield. These gates will not be open during
                                                             the weekends or holidays.

                                                             The other six access gates will remain unchanged.

                                                             Mt. Belvedere, Iraqi Freedom, Gas Alley and
                                                             Wheeler-Sack gates are open 24 hours a day,
                                                             seven days a week.

                                                             Black River gate is open Monday through Friday
                                                             5:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Free Ski Days for Military ID Card Holders
   Snow Ridge Ski Resort is having their Military Free Day Lift Ticket Days
   again this year.

   Dates are as followed:
   Wednesday - Every Wednesday thru the entire ski season
   Friday - January 6 & 20, February 3 & 10, March 2, 9 & 16, 2012

   Hours of Operation are
   Mon and Tues Closed
   Wed 10am-4pm
   Thurs - Friday 10am-8:30pm
   Sat - Sun and Holidays 9am-4pm




                                        On Post Housing Regulation
Per the handbook for residents and the community managers for housing (Fort Drum) that Snow accumula-
tion of 3 inches or more must be removed due to SAFETY. If residents do not remove the snow, they will be
fined. The community housing areas managers actually do inspections of yards and common areas during
winter WITH CAMERAS and take photos.

The fines are:
$50 for snow that is not removed from the driveway and walkways leading to the residences.

Each community center also has a listing of contractors who do snow removal on post AND they also have a
listing of "VOLUNTEERS FOR A FEE" that live in each housing area.
Here are few contractors who do on post snow removal (you must call for pricing):
