The first dairy in Karnataka was established in 1955 and the Karnataka Milk Federation was created in 1984 by merging various dairy cooperatives. Mother Dairy was established in 2008 in Bangalore with a processing capacity of 7 lakh liters per day. It procures raw milk from local farmers, pasteurizes and homogenizes it, produces milk products, and supplies milk to consumers at reasonable rates. Mother Dairy's vision is to provide quality milk and milk products through continual improvement while satisfying customers.
