DtM's Kinkajou Microfilm Projector is a rugged, lightweight, low-power projection system, which uses a microfilm cassette to store and project, up to 10,000 images at a fraction of the cost of paper books, used for night time literacy classes in rural Malian villages.

Compared to students in conventional night-time courses over
an independent, two-year pedagogical study:
• almost four times as many Kinkajou-educated students
reached the highest level of literacy in a single semester
• almost twice as many achieved basic literacy.
IMPACT: Over 5,000 students to date have learned to read using the Kinkajou ® Microfilm Projector
