Khabbab ibn al-Aratt was an enslaved young boy who immediately accepted Islam upon hearing of it. When his master discovered this, she severely tortured him by burning hot coals on his back and running a hot iron comb through his scalp. He endured relentless torture for his faith but remained steadfast. He became a prominent companion of the Prophet Muhammad and taught others about Islam. Khabbab suffered greatly to spread the message of Islam but witnessed its victory before passing away.
