Evidence the use of probiotics in infants for prevention of allergic diseaseAriyanto Harsono
This document summarizes a review of evidence on using probiotics in infants to prevent allergic disease and food hypersensitivity. The review found insufficient evidence that probiotics reduce the risk of allergic disease or food hypersensitivity in infants. While probiotic use was associated with a reduction in infant eczema in some studies, the effect was inconsistent between studies and all studies had substantial losses to follow up, indicating caution is needed in interpreting the results due to methodological limitations. In conclusion, the review found the evidence is currently insufficient to recommend adding probiotics to infant feeds to prevent allergic conditions.
The document proposes a music video for the song "Cough Cough" by the band Everything Everything. The video will feature the filmmaker's 8-year-old sister and focus on a concept-based storyline portraying her as both sweet and sinister. Locations will include Cannock Chase, the filmmaker's garden and houses. The intended audience is ages 15-40 to match the indie music genre.
The document describes an algorithm for estimating coherent ULF wave power using magnetic time series data to determine open and closed field lines. The algorithm involves: 1) mean-subtracting and high-pass filtering raw data, 2) segmenting the filtered data into 1-hour windows, 3) applying a Hanning window and estimating the power spectrum for each segment, removing the background power law, resulting in a dynamic residual spectrum estimate of coherent wave power over time and frequency. The assumption is that coherent ULF power is enhanced on closed field lines compared to open field lines, so this metric can identify open/closed field line locations.

This document is a student's narrative essay describing their observations of a torch light. The essay explores the physical characteristics of the torch light through careful observation and use of the senses. It notes the torch light is tube-shaped, with a larger bulb head and thinner body, and has the brand name "AXE" printed on it in silver letters. The essay examines details like the textures, weight, smell, and sounds of the torch light to gain a deeper understanding of it. The student took notes throughout their observations to accurately describe their findings in the narrative essay.

Given that jobs are in ‘visible’ and ‘invisible’ markets it’s best to ensure you know how to access both if you are searching for a new career begin with a networking plan. The visible job market can be found online, in newspapers, job boards, company websites, advertisements, etc. The invisible job market is accessible only through other individuals—networking provides access to this market.
Do you have a network of professionals who know you for your ability to use your skills in a variety of roles across industries? Remember it’s not just who you know—it’s who knows you and what you’re capable of. If cutbacks were to occur at your company, would they avoid letting you go? Are you someone who does a “good” job but isn’t well known? Can you really afford not to position yourself for being known for the work you’ve done and for the work you’re capable of?
If you are looking for a new career or job networking can save you time, money, and energy if you begin with a plan. Many individuals jump right in and assume they are taking the best approach to networking. This may include developing a pitch, participating in weekly networking events, connecting online, etc. Attendance at many events is expected of certain positions and can be tremendously valuable to your career. If you are looking for a new career or job you should create a plan that positions you to connect with individuals at the companies who can get to “know you, like you, and pay you”.

This charity drive was conducted from February 10-14, 2014 at Taylor's University to raise funds for the TsuJi Dialysis Center. The group sold meme t-shirts, yoyos, and handmade dog keychains, raising a total of RM2100 to donate. They faced competition from other groups selling foods and drinks but overcame this through dedicated product promotion and reasonable pricing. The funds raised helped support dialysis treatment for those who could not afford the high medical costs.

Achieve Webinar: Student Assessment Inventory Tool for School Districts
On a webinar, Achieve provided an overview of the newly released Student Assessment Inventory Tool for School Districts, designed to guide district administrators and instructional leaders through a process to ensure that students are only taking the minimum number of tests necessary to serve essential instructional, diagnostic and accountability purposes. Beyond teacher-developed classroom assessments that are core to the learning process, it is clear that many students are required to take a host of additional assessments that have too little value. This tool is designed to provide an opportunity for district leaders to take stock and take action. Achieve was joined by state leaders who have been sharing the inventory tool with districts as a framework to guide reflection and decision-making, including Abe Krisst, Technology Readiness Coordinator, Connecticut State Department of Education and Nancy DePalma, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment, West Hartford Public Schools. The Student Assessment Inventory for School Districts can be access on the Achieve website at http://www.achieve.org/meetings-webinars

This document describes the synthesis and evaluation of a series of 4-azapodophyllotoxin derivatives as potential anticancer agents. Key findings include:
1) A series of 4-azapodophyllotoxin derivatives were synthesized using allylpolyalkoxybenzenes extracted from parsley seeds.
2) Compounds were evaluated in a sea urchin embryo assay and those inducing cleavage alteration, arrest, and embryo spinning were identified as having potential tubulin destabilizing activity.
3) The most active compounds in the sea urchin assay featured a myristicin-derived ring E substitution.
4) Selected compounds were further evaluated in cancer cell lines, demonstrating cytotoxic effects including microtubule disruption
BP Statistical Review of World Energy infographicbp
Global energy consumption grew slightly less than average in 2013, with OECD countries seeing above average growth and non-OECD countries seeing below average growth. While oil's global market share fell, renewable energy continued to grow rapidly from a small base. The US saw the largest increase in energy production in 2013 driven by increased oil production, though China remained the largest overall energy producer.
