You can reach Gaurikund by road and then have to trek the last 14 kilometers to reach
Kedarnath. Kedarnath travel always involves visit to the main temple that was built

the last few years and now excellent transport facilities are available for all. Earlier tourists had
to cover 14 kilometers on foot from Gaurikund, which is a hot water pool where Prasad is
distributed. The trek was difficult and only a few people
could complete it in a single day. In fact,
recently helicopter service has also been
made available that allows tourists to visit the
shrine in minimum time. This has resulted in
an increase in the number of religious tourists
visiting Kedarnath and has brought God
closer to humans. All Hindus should visit
Kedarnath at least once in their lifetimes.
