Kat Von D is a famous tattoo artist born in Mexico in 1982 who moved to California as a child. She began tattooing at age 14 and worked in various tattoo shops before starring in the TV shows Miami Ink and LA Ink. In 2007, she set the Guinness World Record for most tattoos done in 24 hours by completing 400 tattoos of the letter "LA". The student sees Kat Von D as her hero because she never gave up on her dreams of becoming a tattoo artist and always strives to improve, qualities the student admires and hopes to emulate.

2. Biography.
Katerine Von Drachenberg was born un Montemorelos (Mexico) in
1982. When was 4 years she moved to Colton, California. Her
grandmother taught her to play piano and paint. Her brothers Karoline
and Michael work with her. Kat did her first tattoo when she had 14
years, and she did tattoos to another persons when she had 15 years
and began to work in “Sin City Tattoo”, in 1999 she worked in “Blue
Bird Tattoo” in Pasadena and a year later work in “Red Hot Tattoo” in
Arcadia. Also she worked in “True tattoo” with Chris Garver and
learned a lot. She worked in a TV show “Miami Ink” and next she got
her show: “L.A. Ink” in her shop “High Voltage Tattoo”. She is the best
when she do portraits and is very famous for this . Kat was married
with Oliver Peck, he also is tattoo artist and in June of 2008 he take
Kat the Guinnes World Record that she got. Kat Von D had a
romance with Nikki Sixx, bassist and composer of Mötley Crüe. She
loves Mötley Crüe and her tattoo in her face of starts was for the song
Starry Eyes. Now their are friends. Nowadays she have a mark of
clothes and make up. Also she have a galery of art called
Wonderland and she published several book about tattoos. She will
married with a DJ, deadmau5.

4. 20 of December 2007 in Los Angeles, when Kat Von D had 25
years old successfully set a new World Record for the most tattoos
done in 24 hours, 400. The people flocked from as far away to be
apart of tattoo history. The Guinness guidelines forced
Kat that she only could tattued "LA" logo and it cost
of only $20. There were approximately 1,000 people
waiting in line, and police were compelled to tell the
crowd to leave. She was so determined to reach her goal
that she kept her liquid consumption to a minimum,
and took only three 3 minute breaks in 24 hours. Kat also raised the
money for charity. Proceeds from this record was to the non-
profit Vitamin Angels, that provides supplements to developing
countries and communities that are in dire nutritional need.
