Valentines Day is celebrated on February 14th and is a day to express love and affection for romantic partners through gifts like flowers, notes, and candy. The holiday originated over 1,500 years ago when Saint Valentine, who was a priest, sent the first romantic note to the jailer's daughter that was signed "from your Valentine", starting the tradition of exchanging love notes and gifts on that day which continues as a popular celebration today.
