The Kaaba in Mecca is covered annually by a black cloth called the Kiswa that is produced in a special factory. The Kiswa costs approximately 17 million Saudi Riyals to produce and contains silver, gold, and silver calligraphy of Quranic verses over its 658 square meter area.
