Jupiter is the largest planet in the Solar System composed mainly of hydrogen and helium. It has 64 satellites including Ganymede, Callisto, Io and Europe discovered by Galileo Galilee, with Ganymede having a greater diameter than Mercury. Jupiter was first visited by Pioneer10 in 1973 and has twice the mass of all other planets combined.
