Jung Ryu writes a letter of recommendation for Michael Argersinger. Ryu observed Argersinger tutoring Ryu's son in English over the spring semester of 2013. Argersinger was punctual, prepared interesting lesson plans that motivated Ryu's son, and made good use of time. Argersinger is also interested in Korean culture and language, having already mastered the Korean alphabet. Ryu concludes that although Argersinger lacks formal teaching experience, he is a qualified and creative English teacher based on Ryu's observation, and recommends him highly for a teaching position in Korea.

To whom it may concern:
I am pleased to write an enthusiastic letter of recommendation on behalf of Michael Argersinger.
He has been my son’s English tutor throughout the spring semester of 2013. He visited my house
to teach my six year old son English on a weekly basis. As a teacher in the public high school
system in Korea (I am currently funded by the Gyeonggi-do School District), I was able to
witness his exceptional work and ability to teach a young kid in a creative way, as well as to
motivate him to speak English. In particular, Michael Argersinger is punctual and responsible.
He was never late for the tutoring and did his best to make good use of time. My son liked
reading books with him very much and was never bored with a variety of literacy activities,
because Michael Argersinger always prepared interesting lesson plans and motivated my son. He
is also very interested in learning Korean as well as Korean culture. He has already mastered the
Korean alphabet. He knows how to decode Korean well and continues to study in order to learn
everything he can about Korea.
In conclusion, Michael Argersinger is a qualified English teacher from my observation, even if
he does not have much teaching experience in an official educational institution. He is very
creative, responsible and motivated. It is thus without reservation that I highly recommend him
for a teaching position in Korea. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any inquiries.
Sincerely,
Jung Ryu
