This document summarizes a seminar on the topic of observation in psychology. It defines observation as the inspection of overt behavior and notes that it is a fundamental method for gathering information. It describes the key features of observation, including that it involves the eyes, has an aim, should be planned and recorded. It also outlines different types of observation, such as participant observation, non-participant observation, controlled observation, and uncontrolled observation. Finally, it discusses the educational implications and concludes that observation plays a significant role in improving students.
Marrow gourd insects A Lecture By Allah Dad Khan Provincial Coordinator I...Mr.Allah Dad Khan
This document discusses various insects that can damage marrow crops, including cucumber beetles, squash vine borer, squash bug, armyworms, cabbage looper, flea beetles, aphids, cutworms, and thrips. For each insect, the document describes symptoms of infestation, such as holes or damage to leaves and stems, stunted growth, and frass or honeydew secretions. It also provides details on the appearance of the insect at different life stages to aid identification. The document aims to educate farmers on the signs and causes of infestation by these common marrow crop pests.
This document summarizes a study on the genetic stability of recombinant baculoviruses containing foreign genes. Baculoviruses are widely used as expression vectors for producing foreign proteins in insect cells. The study aimed to analyze recombinant baculoviruses produced using the FlashBac system after multiple passages in insect cells. The recombinant viruses containing the green fluorescent protein (GFP) gene were serially passaged 10 times in insect cells. Viral DNA was extracted after each passage and analyzed using PCR to check for the presence of the GFP gene. The results showed the GFP gene was retained in the viral genome even after 10 passages, indicating the recombinant baculoviruses maintained genetic stability when serially passaged in insect cells.
