The coverage of the tower signal will make it possible to improve analog broadcasting on the territory of the Donetsk region controlled by the Ukrainian government. In addition, the tower will provide a signal of a better quality in the areas along the frontline, for example, in Torestk (Dzerzhinsk) which is located on the demarcation line. We would like to remind the readers that when the conflict in the Donbas began, the areas controlled by the Russian Federation were left without Ukrainian TV broadcasting as a number of TV broadcasting facilities were seized and destroyed.

Community initiative “Restoring Donbas” includes community organization “Restoring Donbas” and “Charity foundation” Donbas: Restoring!”
The initiative (as a part of these organizations) carries out a number of analytical, humanitarian, cultural and other projects. In December community initiative “Restoring Donbas” presented a public report 2014 - 2016.
Maidan website - our past and future
Maidan is an online community formed in 2000 by Ukrainian activists united to protest the murder of a journalist. It operates a major platform for activism and crowdsources information from volunteers. It played a key role in disseminating information during the 2004 Orange Revolution, handling up to 500,000 visitors per day. Maidan verifies reports and crowdsources books on dissent to promote civic participation and human rights.
Donbas reintegration: achievements of 2017
The document summarizes achievements in 2017 regarding the reintegration of Donbas according to Ukraine's plan of measures. Donbas reintegration achievements_2017
On January 11, 2017, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the order «On a plan of measures aimed at the implementation of certain principles of state domestic policy in
separate districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, where state bodies temporarily do not exercise their power» (hereinafter - the Plan).
According to the document, the Ministry of Temporary Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons on a quarterly basis, by the 15th of the following month, is required to provide information on the state of implementation of the plan of measures, and, together with other government bodies involved in the implementation of plan of measures, to fulfil the tasks
of the plan of measures to comply with the requirements of legislation.
Before the anniversary of this document approval, non-governmental organization “Donetsk Information Institute” (hereinafter - DII) has monitored the implementation of certain items of the Plan by state authorities.

Presentation of portal

UCMC Annual Report 2020

NGO «Donetsk institute of information» was founded by journalists and volunteers at the end of 2009 in order to: strengthen independent media, promptly provide public with objective and impartial information without censorship on the political, economic and social situation in the Donetsk region
- 2. A number of visitors to our information web page reaches 150 000 people per day
- 3. DonbasPublicTV (DPTV) (March 2014) is a Donbas journalists’ initiative aimed to create an independent public TV online The project is important in terms of lack of the objective information on the situation in Donbas region. DonbasPublicTV is providing news for civil population in the eastern Ukraine where free access to media resources is currently hindered due to the armed conflict.
- 4. The primary task of DPTV is to inform, promote openness and independence of media space in the region, responsibility to the audience. Our audience: Residents of Donbass which remain on the territory controlled by the DPR Population of Donbass residing on the territory controlled by Government Temporarily displaced persons
- 6. We perform the following tasks 1. Making internet TV production: • regular TV-programs • special video projects 2. Creating of the journalists’ network in Donbass: • Opening of representative offices in Slaviansk, Kramatorsk Krasnoarmeysk, Artemovsk, Konstantinovka, Mariupol, Donetsk • Donbass Media Forum
- 7. «News of Donbass»" • Monitoring and review of the main events of the day in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions of Ukraine «Donetsk truth»" • a platform for the publication of investigative journalism and analytical articles «Week of Donbass» • week of Donbass • week of Donbass under «L-DPR» control «Conversation with the Donbas Live» • newscast broadcasting in a format of Internet TV from studios in Kyiv, Mariupol, Slavyansk regular programs
