The blue whale is the largest animal in the world, weighing as much as 33 elephants. It eats four tons of krill daily and its calls are extremely loud. Blue whale populations are endangered with only 10,000-25,000 remaining due to threats like habitat loss, pollution, and past hunting. As the top ocean predator, blue whales play an important role in marine ecosystem health. We can help protect them by avoiding fishing or hunting in their habitats.
