Lesser Kestrels were observed nesting unusually in Thessaly, Greece. Researchers located and monitored the nests from March to September. They found the kestrels nesting in cavities in the walls of abandoned buildings rather than cliffs or trees, as is typical. Despite the unusual nesting locations, the kestrels were successful with multiple fledglings observed from each nest.
