Studies across 10 countries found that over half of people showed interest in news, with 68% interested in the US which was in the middle range compared to other nations. The US and most other countries had fewer people using print and radio as primary news sources, instead relying more on digital methods like smartphones for 17% of US news consumption, similar to other nations who also used smartphones more than tablets for news. While the US had more mixed use of video and text, other nations showed a slight preference for reading news text over video.
