•  Expect certain precautions
after surgery
•  Pain may increase as you
become more active
•  Keep wound dry until staples
are removed

slightly elevated for several
days after surgery
•  Swelling is normal
•  Follow physician orders
related to driving

operative function. Hence the more you exercise
and strengthen your muscles prior to surgery, the
