CLI is seeking to contract with experienced linguists to provide telephonic interpreting services
from home. An independent contractor interpreter is responsible for facilitating interpretation
sessions for multiple parties over the phone. They communicate across two languages while
retaining the meaning of the original message with accuracy and cultural sensitivity.
If you live in the U.S. or Canada, fluently speak English and other languages, have interpreting
experience, and are committed to providing excellent customer service, you might be qualified to
join our interpreting team. Interpreters must also have access to a dedicated landline telephone.
CLI prioritizes contracting with interpreters who have completed professional interpreter training
programs and who hold national certifications through organizations that include:
 Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters (CCHI)
