1.1 Reliability program: is the program that enables
the operator to determine the adequate maintenance
process for A/C & its components and to get the
maximum benefit of his maintenance program.
1.2 Primary Maintenance Process: is the process that
is listed in Ops Spec. (FAA 120-17A).
1. Hard Time (HT): preventive maintenance process
2. On Condition (OC): preventive maintenance
3. Condition Monitoring (CM): maintenance
process

1.3 Reliability Committee:
The committee should consist of head of engineering
section, one member shall serve a chairman ; the
chairman should be the most authoritative position in
the technical area of the operators maintenance
organization.

1.4 CAA Committee:
Composed of the airworthiness and avionics, to
participate with the operators committee and fulfil
CAA responsibility for the program.
The head of CAA committee will be responsible For
program approval and changes.

1.5 Program Administration:
must be developed and documented in form
suitable for its purpose and for the needs of
participating operators and CAA.
This program must include a controlled revision
system and include the facets required to serve its
purpose such as items listed in (HB page 779).

1.6 Program Elements (HB 1479)

1.7 Structural inspection program should be part
of the program (HB P 781 (f)).

1.8 Program Evaluation:
when CAA Inspector evaluates the program, he
should take into consideration that :
a. the reports provide “over surveillance monitoring”;
and
b. provide alerts, targets, performance standards, etc.
