Swansea Metropolitan University merged with University of Wales Trinity Saint David in 2012 and the new institution is currently developing its new
operational structures and processes.
Technology enhanced learning has been identified as a priority development area in the past by each of the institutions and they have collaborated in
a number of innovative projects funded by Jisc, the EU and the Welsh Government.
This project will assist in the development of a new TEL plan for the institution and will inform and reinforce the staff development of this through the
use of Jisc resources.

Please briefly describe the activities/tasks you anticipate undertaking as part of your SIP Placement

The activities/tasks will include:
1. An initial discussion with the RSC Wales team to review recent initiatives and outcomes and to scope the project;
2. A mapping of the review outcomes to the current and aspirational TEL activities and plans at Swansea Met/Trinity Saint David;
3. Consultations in the University with senior management and operational staff responsible for TEL about the application of appropriate Jisc Advance/
RSC Wales resources;
4. A plan for dissemination and staff development based on the project outcomes.
