01 Project Name: Northeast Utilities Maintenance (Data Fixes in Production Environment)
Client: Northeast Utilities - It operates New England’s largest utility system serving
more than two million electric and natural gas customers in Connecticut,
Western Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
Project Description:
This project is for the long run of NU which includes performing maintenance activities in
different domains.
C2 (Customer Central) is an intranet application for NU used by the Customer Service
Representatives in order to manage all the customer accounts, respond to all of their
complaints and take necessary actions.
Mainly this track constitutes of packaging Data Hammers (database SQL queries) for C2
production issues. Different types of Minor or Major Enhancement of the workstation also
remain under the same umbrella. Root cause analyses to fix recurring issues are also a part of
it.
Role : Developer
Responsibility : Being new to the NU environment, it was a great challenge for me to
understand the existing business logistics on which the entire C2
application lies upon. I have been very proactive taking regular
Knowledge Transfer sessions from both Offshore and Onsite team

3. members. It resulted in high learnability and getting lots of
appreciations from my managers too for pacing up high.
Also I took the initiative for documenting all the business rules I have
learnt till now in order to leverage the knowledge of the new comers in
future.
As a .Net developer, I have participated in two minor and one major
enhancement. I took the bottom line responsibility for the modules that I
was assigned to work on. Every single enhancement went in production
without any issues and fetched client appreciation.
Besides doing the regular project related tasks, I was also involved in

This track covers up the enhancement(s) of the giant intranet C2 portal based on addition of
new or modification of some existing Business rules as stated by our client.
Role : Developer
Responsibility : C2 is a huge website application which has been modularized in seven
different layers purely required for abstraction. A single enhancement
aids the developer to change in all the seven layers and test the
complete end-to-end flow.
As a .Net developer, I have participated in two minor and one major
enhancement. I took the bottom line responsibility for the modules that I
was assigned to work on. Every single enhancement went in production
without any issues and fetched lots of client appreciations.
First enhancement was LANDLORD Portal where we came up with a
new dedicated portal for landlord users.
This portal was designed to enable a landlord to maintain his account
as well as his tenant’s account.
The second enhancement was called Transfer Liability where we were
required to transfer liability from one account to another.

4. Third enhancement was called Order Instruction enhancement where
we were required to come up with a page which will be displayed
before order creation.
The page we had designed consisted a pre-populated text box having
order instruction messages and the user has an option to modify the
same and then proceed.

This project includes several applications like Storms, Advantex, PCAD, ServiceSuite, etc.
Role : Senior Developer/Designer
Responsibility : This project included tasks like designing new screens, business logic
modifications, changes in the existing system to optimize the same, etc.
It included 3 minor enhancements.
First one was Piping Order where we added a new order type in PCAD
application.
Second one was Cafeteria Request Modification.
Third one was New Work Order Search Screen where a screen was
developed to display the work order details.
