3. JEWELRY CARING TIPS & TRICKS
 Store in jewelry or soft bag.
 To prevent damage to sterling silver, wrap
the item in absorbent jewelry paper.
 Place it in a zippered plastic bag, and close
it.
 Remove any remaining detergent from the
precious stones and rinse thoroughly with
clean water.
 Never use toothpaste!

4. CAUTIONS WHEN CLEANING
SILVER JEWELRY
• Silver is subject to deterioration over time,
resulting in dry or black jewelry as well.
• Destruction occurs when silver is exposed to
oxygen and sulphur in the air. This is inevitable, but,
thankfully, it does not damage the metal and can be
easily cleaned.

6. CLEANING TECHNIQUES FOR
SILVER AND GOLD JEWELRY
 The simplest way to clean silver is to clean with a cleaning solution
and cloth.
 The silver cleaning cloth should be soft and packed with a
detergent agent.
 A cup of warm water and a few drops of washing liquid will help to
disperse the mess.
 Gently wipe the silver with a clean, soft brush.

7.  Let them air dry.
 In a bowl mix the white vinegar and equal parts of water.
 Scrape a clean toothbrush into the solution and gently brush
the affected areas of silver.
 Stand up and let the air dry.

8. CLEANING GOLD JEWELRY
 It doesn't take long for the gold jewelry to fade. Daily signs of
fingerprints and dirt can make the fastest gold possible.
 A cleaning solution specially designed for jewelry is a safe option,
but make sure any solution is for the right metal or jewelry.
 Add a few drops of washing-up liquid (or another light reducing
solution) to a bowl of water. Extreme temperature changes can
damage the ornament, so avoid hot or snowy water.

9.  Put the ornaments in the dock for ten minutes to remove any dirt.
Clean with a soft brush
 Wash thoroughly in clear water to remove any residue of soap and
residue. Gently pat dry with a dry cloth or allow it to dry on air.
 Gold is a very soft metal that is susceptible to fatigue. Keep this
fact in mind during the cleaning and drying process and be as
gentle as possible.
