To Whom It May Concern,
I have known Josh Ervin for over ten years. I find him to be a loyal, honest and an
enormously capable person, worthy of the confidence of any employer.
As a Conference Manager, I worked with Josh for over seven years at the Conference
Center at the Maritime Institute, which is a mid-size full service conference center and
hotel with 232 guest rooms and over 100,000 square feet of meeting space as well as a
world-class maritime training school for commercial mariners. Josh initially took on the
position of Assistant Front Desk Manager and was later promoted to Night Manager —
which in effect, placed the responsibility for the entire property on him during the evening
shift.
Josh put customer service before his own inconvenience. He assured that each guest felt
welcome, had proper accommodations, and that their needs were met. He also
supervised the front desk operations as well as the conference center operations through
the evening. This also included managing many private functions such as banquets,
plated meals and banquet bars and inspecting meeting room setups for the next day.
Josh is a well-rounded individual with experience in hospitality under his belt. He is
completely adaptable and will quickly pick up the routine and then find ways to streamline
those routines to help cut costs and improve efficiency.
I highly recommend any employer to offer him a position of responsibility.
Sincerely yours,
