Witte Museum Hires Jeff Goldblatt as New Vice President of
Marketing
SAN ANTONIO – The Witte Museum today named Jeff Goldblatt as its Vice President of
Marketing at the San Antonio iconic cultural destination. Jeff comes to the Witte from KENS-
TV in San Antonio, where he anchored the 5, 6, and 10 p.m. newscasts since 2012 and served as
the station’s Managing Editor.
“For the last 25 years, Jeff has been one of the most accomplished storytellers in the world of TV
news,” said Marise McDermott, President and CEO of The Witte Museum. “Jeff’s multimedia
experience, his success with creativity and innovation, and his ability to build strong
relationships in this community will all serve as tremendous assets to the Witte during one of the
most auspicious times in the history of our 89-year old museum. Jeff will be a trusted and key
member of the senior management team leading the Witte through its current $100 million
transformation."
In his role at the Witte, Jeff will oversee all functions at the museum related to marketing,
branding, public affairs, media relations, as well as help the Witte increase its reach among
tourists visiting San Antonio from across the United States and the world.
“My kids started dancing around the kitchen and celebrating when they found out I accepted this
job, and I celebrated with them,” said Jeff. “The future of the Witte is extraordinarily bright, and
I am excited to help shape the messaging of this beacon of light and learning."
Jeff started his professional career as a TV news reporter in Myrtle Beach, SC before moving to
newsrooms in Wilmington, NC and Richmond, VA as a reporter. He later worked as a political
correspondent in Washington, DC for the Belo Corporation and then served as an investigative
correspondent for the syndicated television newsmagazine, American Journal. Jeff spent the
majority of his journalism career as a correspondent with the Fox News Channel, where he
covered a wide-range of high-profile stories during his 9 years with FNC, including 9/11 in New
York City and Shanksville, PA; Hurricane Katrina from its landfall through its aftermath; and
front line coverage of the War on Terror in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Pakistan. He is the winner of 3
Emmy Awards for his reporting and anchoring.
Jeff also worked pro bono for two years as Senior Vice President of Communications and
Marketing with a team trying to build the National Veterans Museum, in Hoffman Estates, IL.
He coordinated policy and communications strategy for the 200 acre, multi-phased, start-up
project to create the first museum honoring the nation’s 22 million veterans.
A native of the Washington, DC suburbs, Jeff graduated with honors in history from Colgate
University in Hamilton, NY. He is married and has four children.
