Patented Dual-Density Design To achieve maximum stretch while maintaining durability in the upper portion of GRIP-XTM , the upper is molded to a precise thickness. This thickness increases substantially on the sole portion of GRIP-XTM in order to increase durability and help to prevent the spikes from inadvertently falling out. Full Heel Cup and Critical Heel-Strike Spike Because the first part of your foot that contacts the walking surface is the back of the heel, GRIP-XTM features a critical heel-strike spike, ensuring traction on first contact. This spike starts the process of preventing slips and falls before other products have hit the ground. GRIP-XTM also features a full heel cup ensuring greater balance and stability with each step. Patented Spike Clip GRIP-XTM features a patented two- piece spike clip system. The two- piece system allows the spike clip to be firmly clamped together and locked into place, as opposed to merely “pushed through”.
