United is a wholly owned subsidiary of United Continental Holdings
Objective of the Cost Accounting integration project is to combine the functionalities of cost accounting done by sCO
and sUA into Oracle E-business suite. Material transactions will be fed from Sceptre. sCO Labor transactions will
come in from a payroll system and sUA Labor Transactions will come in from PeopleSoft Payroll and LDC systems.
These will be the feed to Oracle ERP for accounting the transactions and then further to Oracle General Ledger for
posting.
Maintenance jobs for aircraft engines, components and airframe and repair Jobs will be created in Sceptre and tracked
by 5 digit WCJO number. Material issue and receipt inventory transactions will be performed against that WCJO.
Each inventory transaction against a WCJO number is recorded in the activity file and the feed is given to CAS for
Material Accounting. CAS will send this information to GEAC GL which in turn sends it to Oracle GL for accounting
and posting.
