Ladakh, located in the high altitude Himalayas in northern India, is the sacred land of Buddhists. Staying isolated from the rest of the world for a good part of the year has enabled Ladakhis to preserve and practice their religion like they have for centuries. And it shows in the Buddhist festivals, annual events at most monasteries.

Philipp Eduard Anton Von Lenard was a German physicist born in 1862 who received the 1905 Nobel Prize in Physics for his work with cathode rays. He studied under Robert Bunsen and obtained his doctorate in 1886. Throughout his career, Lenard held prominent positions including head of the Philipp Lenard Institute from 1907-1947. However, he is best known for publicly criticizing Einstein's theory of relativity and advocating for a "German Physicist" instead.
Geohosting is a complex system composed of single components-applications. These components are integrated into one fully functional system. This complex system enables easy creation and publication of new map compositions. It enables you to work not only with your own geographic data but also through web services with external geographic data. The number of available online data sources is still increasing. The advantage is that original data stay at the level where they are collected and maintained. Therefore there is no duplication of data. Up-to-date source data guarantee up-to-date map compositions.
MICKA is a complex metadata management solution for spatial data infrastructure and geoportal building. It contains tools for editing and managing metadata for spatial information, web services, and other sources. Key functions include support for spatial data, service, and Dublin Core metadata standards, as well as feature catalogues and INSPIRE metadata profiles. Metadata can be searched, viewed on maps, and downloaded. MICKA is compatible with INSPIRE standards and can connect to other metadata catalogues and geoportals.
The document is a blog post by Puneet Bhatnagar about an image he created in one of his creativity training programs that sparked an interesting discussion on social media. The image of an "apple bomb" mixed two images in an unusual way, which Puneet shared on Facebook where people in the comments section interpreted it differently and associated it with topics like the biblical story of Adam and Eve, population explosion, terrorism in Kashmir, and mistaken identity. Puneet encourages readers to also leave their thoughts and interpretations of the image in the comments section.
