Chronophobia means the fear of
time or the passing time. It is most
common in shipwreck survivors and
others who are trapped in a hostel
environment or situation with no
familiar means of tracking the
passage of time. It is also common
with prison inmates, who become
crazy of all the time they have to
serve in prison. The origin of the
word chrono is Greek (meaning
time) and phobia is Greek (meaning
fear).

 affected?
 Who are affected and
      why are they
• People who are affected
  of chronophobia are
  elderly people who are
        affected?
  facing illness and are
  worried that their time on
  Earth may be limited.
  Prisoners are also
  affected of chronophobia
  because they are not
  sure how long they have
  till they get released.
What are the causes
   of chronophobia?
   • Chronophobia is caused from negative of
traumatic events or from your parents genetics.

• The most common cause of chronophobia is a
       triggering event, usually a traumatic
            experience at an early age.

  • Sometimes it can be that your parents or
grandparents had the fear of time, so their
genetics were passed on to the child.
