Bullying is a serious problem in the US, with 30% of students facing frequent bullying. Constant bullying can lead victims to depression and hiding their feelings, and in some tragic cases, bullying has led to deaths of students who are driven to suicide or commit acts of violence like school shootings. To address this epidemic, efforts must be made to raise awareness of bullying, make bullying a punishable crime, and encourage open communication between parents and children so victims do not feel alone.
