Israel has had significant accomplishments and innovations in technology, business, science, and medicine despite its small size. Some key points:
- Many computer technologies were developed in Israel, including Windows operating systems and Intel computer chips.
- Israel has more start-up companies per capita than any other country and is a world leader in high-tech industry.
- Israeli researchers and companies have made major medical advances in areas like cancer treatment, heart health, and drug development.

Meeting the mind:
The Neurotechnology revolution
A NEW ERA IN OUR UNDERSTANDING OF THE BRAIN
Throughout human history, the mind has been incomprehensible, other-worldly and beyond reach. The Bible describes all manner of thoughts and emotions but does not once mention the brain. Aristotle thought that the brain was a cooling mechanism for the blood. Centuries later, although the modern fields of biology and medicine have fundamentally transformed our understanding of the body and our ability to heal it, most scientists still think of the brain as the “final frontier” of research.
Yet now, the world had made advances in neuroscience and neurotechnology that, until recently, seemed impossible: brain-controlled prosthetics, neuroimaging technologies that can detect tiny lesions, cochlear implants that restore hearing, and others. Recent advances in science and technology will allow us to address some of mankind's greatest challenges. Imagine a world free of the heartbreak of degenerative brain diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. Imagine a world we can reach into with our minds even if our bodies were sick or broken. Imagine a world where the blind can see.
That world is beginning to take shape in Israel today. Israeli companies and academics are playing a leading role in nurturing innovations across the spectrum of neuroscience and neurotechnology. These innovations will transform lives and the world we live in. Here are just some examples:
■ BrainsGate, an early stage company, is developing a novel implantable stimulation device that increases blood flow to the brain, significantly reducing brain damage caused by ischemic stroke
■ BrainStorm uses stem cell transplants to provide treatment for currently- incurable neurodegenerative diseases, such as Parkinson’s, ALS and conditions such as spinal cord injury
This paper elaborates on two exciting opportunities that stem from a technology platform which enables bidirectional communication between the human brain and machines: connecting the brain directly to the outside world (the Brain Machine Interface or BMI) and the development of therapeutic neurostimulation devices.

Israel is a living Miracle!!!! and a dream come true
This session (part 3 of 3) provides innovative and fun school programming ideas for Israel education. The session looks at ideas to help students understand why and how Israel has been on the frontline of, not just war, but inventions and discoveries, and why Israel remains important to people around the globe.
A description of the projects and activities of the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs, a multidisciplinary, independent non-profit think tank for Israel policy research and education, bringing together the best minds in the political, strategic, diplomatic and legal arenas, in Israel and abroad.
Israel’s transition from struggling agrarian upstart to pulsing hi-tech superpower is often mentioned with a certain wistful, nostalgic longing. In reality, though, the pioneering spirit of Israel has remained throughout; what early and recent generations have in common is that both have managed to create astonishing new blossoms in the place of barren wastelands.
Some have even undergone that transformation personally. Dan Vilenski, for example, picked oranges in the orchards near his home in Binyamina as a boy. Over the past 40 years, he has led several hi-tech companies, championed government investment in local hi-tech research, and headed the Israel National Nanotechnology Initiative.
The unique way in which Israeli hi-tech companies influence global markets is not through their size, but through their innovation. Rather than establishing the largest companies in a given field, Israelis repeatedly manage to introduce technologies and create products that set worldwide industry standards. Through both homegrown companies and local branches of international firms, Israel has been the source of a long list of breakthroughs in dozens of hi-tech fields.
Israeli communications innovations include the first telephone line doubler, the first commercial voice-over-Internet phone (VoIP) technology, the first consumer product for instant online chat, and much more.

An astonishing, first-of-its-kind, report by the NYT assessing damage in Ukraine. Even if the war ends tomorrow, in many places there will be nothing to go back to.
Here is Gabe Whitley's response to my defamation lawsuit for him calling me a rapist and perjurer in court documents.
You have to read it to believe it, but after you read it, you won't believe it. And I included eight examples of defamatory statements/
