17. Tel Aviv to Caesarea We packed up and left Tel Aviv after a wonderful buffet breakfast. We travelled along the Via Maris to the ancient Roman port city of Caesarea. During Roman rule Caesarea was the capital of Palestine. It was here that Cornelius, the Roman centurion, was converted by Peter, and Paul was imprisoned before being taken to Rome.
