The Isiqwane Seed
Our name, “Isiqwane” is from the Xhosa African language derived from the beautiful South
African national flower – the Protea. The word protea came from a Greek god, Proteus who
was known for his ability to change form or shape at will. The protea flower itself is praised for
its ability to develop adaptions that cope with adverse weather conditions as well as having
over a hundred species throughout the African continent. This being said, we pride ourselves
in our ability to provide diverse strategies and solutions for our clients across the marketing,
promotions and travel industries.
Isiqwane was founded in 2004 by two determined and ambitious women who saw the need for
a fresh and dynamic approach to tourism and corporate imaging. They have been the pillar and
backbone of the innovative and creative culture in our work. Riding on the waves of passion and
