Bilbies live in burrows in central Australia and eat fungi, seeds, small mammals, lizards, and insects. Their populations are threatened by introduced predators such as cats, foxes, and rabbits that damage bilby burrows. Bilbies have poor eyesight but a strong sense of smell, and use their legs, arms, and claws to dig, jump, and eat.
