- 1. IRS Unfair and Scandalous? I was a hired employee for an auto repair business, and employed as a manger. I ran payroll through payroll companies and for a short time with QuickBooks. The tax information was always handed to the owner and then filed with an accountan t. They were (as I understand) filed by the owner and I have been handed paperwo rk from the IRS stating dates when they were filed but not paid. The auto repair
