Touchscreens have become the default UI in mobile devices, but with their adoption the lack of a tactile response is a common complaint. We find that not being able to feel simple UI elements like a button input is actually a big deal.
In this session Immersion’s Haptic Expert Team will explain some of the science behind why our sense of touch is so important to mobile interactions as well as give you practical steps to follow when designing tactile feedback into your software projects. Haptics (vibration touch feedback) powers intuitive experiences from touch inputs to game content to interactive communications. Haptics can add a sense of realism which is generally unexpected in mobile applications.
Audience members will also learn the standard methods used to add tactile effects to mobile projects as well as an extended method used by Android developers like Sega and Rockstar Games to add a pre-made library of over 124 tactile effects into their Android projects. Hands-on mobile demonstrations will also be provided.

These are the slides of the session about tech tools selected for successful meetings presented the 21st of Novembre 2013 at #EIBTM13 in Barcelona.
Web tools & mobile apps for tablets and smartphones can be incredibly valuable for meeting professionals in all the different phases of organising conferences and events.
Some tips and tricks on how to use this kind of technology have been addressed during the session together with a selection of the most useful web tools and mobile applications to help you design more effective meetings.
The objective of this presentation, held in London at the TechFest was to show that you can effectively manage from your iPad all the several activities related to the meetings and events organization. The slides include a good collection of the applications I selected just for this and that will be included in the Guide "iPad apps for Meetings and Events" that will be published by Eventagist very soon www.eventagist.com.
Discover and test apps available to manage on-site registration, check-in and other useful aspects of event management. A variety of apps are available depending on the dimension and type of event. These apps not only provide a flexible mobile and streamlined workflow but also a great way to ensure your event is green and take a further step to a fully paperless event. Session presented in Frankfurt at IMEX 2012
Nowadays iPad apps are important components of the organising process for meeting and events.
Developers are more and more focused on our industry needs and they are providing amazing solutions to facilitate the life for both, organisers and attendees. During the session, presented at IMEX in Frankfurt we experimented with several apps dedicated to many of the activities that organizers, speakers and participants might have to manage before, during and after the event.
Session design is evolving and by mixing methodologies with technology, this can a real plus for your event and for your attendees experience.
Audience participation is becoming a crucial component of meetings and the use of iPads has increased this significantly.
This are the slides of the session presented in Frankfurt at IMEX 2013 where participants experienced some of the apps that allow event audiences to feel more involved, to share their opinion and to contribute more effectively.
Whether you are attending a trade show as an exhibitor or as a buyer, there are plenty of mobile apps that can allow you to use your mobile devices to take the best out of these important annual appointments.
The session presented at AIBTM in Chicago the 12 of July 2013 offered an overview of the best apps and provided some tricks to better manage many of the steps connected with trade show participation.
In the slides you can find some examples of apps helping you to plan the whole trade show and to record all relevant data in a central system, to exchange contact’s and collect mailing list signups, to take surveys, to create and show presentation of your company and products, to track the attendance, to build and share memories on your social media channels and much more.
One of the key factors of making a Hybrid Event a success, is in the solutions you find to connect with different audiences.
Using iPads together with some specific apps, you can provide (specifically to remote participants), the opportunity to meet speakers, participants and sponsors personally and to virtually walk through the conference centre, to see the set up of the event, to live some backstage moments, or to take part to a social dinner or activity. This session presented in Frankfurt at the IMEX trade show, demonstrate how this can happen in practical terms.

Apps are everywhere and can do everything from helping us accomplish mundane tasks to keeping us entertained while we wait for the bus. But what happens when we need a trustable solution to solve our working tasks? We’ve all experienced that sense of powerless when, out of the office, we had something important and urgent to do.Mobile devices can do almost anything, from invoicing a client to editing documents and videos, to sharing and collaborating on complex projects as the events are.
This BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) fast-paced session, held at the EIBTM trade show, the 19th of November in Barcelona, offered an accurate selection of the best productivity apps available on the market and provided some tricks to better manage many of the steps connected with your daily job as a meeting professional. Participants had the chance to use their mobile devices more effectively for meetings & events experiencing some of the apps in action, seeing them contextualized in real cases.
Hybrid events, theories and techniques to extend the reach of an eventStefania Conti-Vecchi
This very practical seminar presented by Stefania Conti-Vecchi at the EVETEX conference in Sofia in February 2014, showed how to extend the reach of an event and provided solutions and tools to turn it into a hybrid one that can involve a wider audience. Having defined the difference between a simple virtual connection and a hybrid event, the seminar identified the type of event most suitable for the new format, the management techniques to seize opportunities arising from them and the possible financial advantages. You can find in the slides a check-list of necessary technologies and specific aspects of the format, with suggestions on how to promote a hybrid event on social media sites and measure its ROE (Return On Engagement). Every aspect has been analysed from different viewpoints: that of the organiser, the speaker/facilitator, the venue hosting the event and of course the “real” and “virtual” participants. Finally, some examples of hybrid events (board meetings, conventions, sales training etc.), showing the pros and cons of the solutions adopted.

These are the slides of the presentation held in Istanbul at the MPI EMEC Conference, on Monday the 24 of February 2014.
Are you ready to trade in your heavy conference binder for an easier way of keeping the latest version of your event specs, banquet event orders, contracts and logistical details at your fingertips? Although it may sound difficult, now is the best time to leave your “conference bible” behind and learn about new ways to organize your planning documents.
Attendees of this interactive, hands-on workshop explored how to use the iPad or tablet as the replacement for your conference binder in a structured and user-friendly way. I took a deep dive into crucial tools -- apps, solutions, workflow ideas, tips and tricks -- for event management, exploring how to successfully go paperless and become more productive through a variety of application demonstrations.

Enterprise Excellence is Inclusive Excellence.pdfKaiNexus
Enterprise excellence and inclusive excellence are closely linked, and real-world challenges have shown that both are essential to the success of any organization. To achieve enterprise excellence, organizations must focus on improving their operations and processes while creating an inclusive environment that engages everyone. In this interactive session, the facilitator will highlight commonly established business practices and how they limit our ability to engage everyone every day. More importantly, though, participants will likely gain increased awareness of what we can do differently to maximize enterprise excellence through deliberate inclusion.
What is Enterprise Excellence?
Enterprise Excellence is a holistic approach that's aimed at achieving world-class performance across all aspects of the organization.
What might I learn?
A way to engage all in creating Inclusive Excellence. Lessons from the US military and their parallels to the story of Harry Potter. How belt systems and CI teams can destroy inclusive practices. How leadership language invites people to the party. There are three things leaders can do to engage everyone every day: maximizing psychological safety to create environments where folks learn, contribute, and challenge the status quo.
Who might benefit? Anyone and everyone leading folks from the shop floor to top floor.

Company Valuation webinar series - Tuesday, 4 June 2024FelixPerez547899
This session provided an update as to the latest valuation data in the UK and then delved into a discussion on the upcoming election and the impacts on valuation. We finished, as always with a Q&A
Implicitly or explicitly all competing businesses employ a strategy to select a mix
of marketing resources. Formulating such competitive strategies fundamentally
involves recognizing relationships between elements of the marketing mix (e.g.,
price and product quality), as well as assessing competitive and market conditions
(i.e., industry structure in the language of economics).
The world of search engine optimization (SEO) is buzzing with discussions after Google confirmed that around 2,500 leaked internal documents related to its Search feature are indeed authentic. The revelation has sparked significant concerns within the SEO community. The leaked documents were initially reported by SEO experts Rand Fishkin and Mike King, igniting widespread analysis and discourse. Zwoor Survey for Ipad
Allows a meeting participant to send answers to a survey via the iPhone or iPad. The user enters a code
(e.g. Meet123) to retrieve the survey, and then proceeds to answering the questions.
The meeting facilitator can see a summary of the results immediately on the zwoor.com website. You
can take synchronized surveys: the survey and the questions start at the same time for everybody who
has downloaded the survey. For example, a group quiz, with an award at the end.
