Dear beloved colleagues,
Greetings to you all.
We thank you all once again for all your support & involvement in the process of carrying out
Second CPE Event with good success on 22nd instant after constitution of Present Governing
Body of the chapter. With greater enthusiasm and involvement of many dynamic/eminent new
members inducted to the board, the New Delhi Chapter is now heading towards carrying out a
Special CPE event on the occasion of “International Privacy Day”. We are proud to say that
ISACA, New Delhi Chapter is carrying out for the first time TWO CPE events in a single month
i.e., in the month of January 2011 and this is the Third CPE event on 29/01/2011 after the
constitution of Present Governing Body of New Delhi Chapter on the subject of “ Evolution of
Data Privacy ” by eminent speakers from the Industry. We solicit your valuable presence
during the CPE meet in full numbers and make it a grand success. We also solicit your active
involvement with respect to various ISACA activities such as contribution to News letter,
organizing CPE events/seminars/Conferences/social events to come upto your best expectations.
We also take this opportunity to suggest all the members to renew ISACA membership and avail
full benefits from the resources of ISACA and Local Chapter.
At this juncture we wish to state that we desire to institute lucky draw for this CPE event among

3. About the speakers – Brief profile…
Vikram has close to 5 years of experience in Information Security, Business
Continuity Management and IT Service Management and currently working as a
Senior Consultant, Security Practices with Data Security Council of India
(DSCI). He is working closely in creating data security and privacy practices,
based on which self regulation mechanism will be established. Along with this
program he is also engaged in DSCI outreach program at national and
international platforms for establishing collaboration with different legal and
regulatory bodies, data protection authorities, global clients and outsource
service providers of all categories including small and medium players. He is
also closely working with Department of Information Technology (DIT), Govt. of
India, on cyber security initiatives, security and privacy surveys and study
reports.
Prior to joining DSCI, he was working with Protiviti India pvt. Ltd, a Global Risk,
Business Consulting and Audit firm as a Senior Consultant in Technology Risk
Mr. Vikram Asnani Consulting Service. In the past he has been associated with Global Consulting
Senior Consultant, DSCI Practice of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) as a Consultant, Information Risk
Management. During his tenure in Protiviti and TCS, Vikram had executed
different security consulting engagements for different clients across globe and
in different industry domains.

A lawyer practising in the Supreme Court of India and High Court(s),
specialising in the field of information technology, data protection, privacy and
cyber crimes.
Advises the Government of India and various State Governments on
Information Technology and practices. He has been nominated by the Central
Government on various Expert Committees, Consultative Committees, Panels
& Working Groups on Information Technology, Cyber Security, Data Protection,
Cyber Crimes, E-governance etc.
Having a unique distinction of training superior court judges, civil servants,
police officers, law enforcement agencies, and forensic experts all across India
on information technology, data protection, privacy and cyber crimes.
Has studied International Relations, International Economics, Law and
Mr. Vakul Sharma Management from premier Schools/ Institutions in India and Europe and holds
Advocate, LL.B., Masters, M.Phil and MBA degrees.

5. About the panelists – Brief profile…
Amit is the Head of Information Risk Management & Local Privacy Officer in
Uninor (a JV between Telenor & Unitech Group). He has 12+years of
experience in Telecommunications domain and has worked with India’s biggest
telecom operators in Fixed Line, NLD/ILD and GSM operations throughout out
his career. His area of expertise includes Telecom core operations, Network
Security, Risk management, Information security, frauds, Privacy etc. He has
paved the way and has been instrumental in executing multiple enterprise wide
security projects.
In his current role, he is engaged in working closely with industry organizations
and Telecom luminaries for complying with the new amended Telecom license
Mr. Amit Karir conditions and looks at the protection of personal data initiatives for Uninor.

6. About the panelists – Brief profile…
Suresh Srinivasan is a solutions-oriented Information Security Specialist with
notable success directing a broad range of corporate information security
initiatives. He has extensive experience in the planning and implementation of
these security initiatives, which are in direct support of business objectives.
Suresh has over 10+ years of experience in domains viz. Information Security,
Risk Management etc and is currently working as Manager – Information
Security & Privacy with Vodafone Essar. He is spearheading Vodafone’s
privacy program in India. In the past Suresh has worked with organizations viz.
Mahindra SSG, Microland etc. He also holds various professional certifications
viz. CISM, CEH, CHFI, ISO 27001 LA etc.
