Syria is a country at the heart of Middle East, Syria has a population of over 22
million people, they mostly speak Arabic, that's official language, but some people
also speak, Turkish, Armenian and Kurdish in different parts of the country.
The majority of Syrians are Muslims with a minority of Christian, Syrians are
famous in their music and food, Mediterranean dishes like Fatush, Kebab, and
Baklava.
The location of Syria:
Syrian territory borders Lebanon and the Mediterranean Sea to the west, Turkey to
the north, Iraq to the east, Jordan to the south, and Israel to the southwest.

Syria's main cities:
 Damascus: the capital city and the second-largest city of Syria after Aleppo.
It is commonly known in Syria as City of Jasmine. One of the oldest
continuously inhabited cities in the world.
 Aleppo: The most populous Syrian city, and the largest business hub in
Syria, It is commonly known in Middle-East as “Al-Shahbaa”

Syrian History:
Since approximately 10,000 BC, Syria was one of centers of Neolithic culture
where agriculture and cattle breeding appeared for the first time in the world.
Syria became independent in 1946 following a period of French occupation
(1920-1946).
The Syrian Republic has been ruled by the Ba'ath with the Assad family
exclusively from 1970. Currently Syria is fractured between rival forces on the
course of the Syrian Civil War.
