Liz Nilsson Longbord is a textile artist and designer based in Dublin. She got her start in textiles through craft lessons as a child in Sweden and went on to study weaving, art, painting, and textile design. Her work often features repetition of circles and oval shapes, which began as an accidental discovery. She enjoys experimenting with new techniques like laser cutting and layering fabrics. Commission pieces involve meeting clients to understand their needs and presenting design options to suit different budgets. Liz's career has progressed from early embroidery to large-scale textile installations, documented in a presentation of her artistic journey called "Red Thread."
