1 Introduction First week at work, l was introduced to my
workmates around the company and those whom l
will be working under. L briefly went through all
the departments which comprises of; the receiving,
the farming products to warehouse, the dispatch,
the sales and the accounts. My supervisor took
time to explain the company vision, its mission and
its values and he further explained why knowing
this information was important for me as
marketing student.
2 Answering
calls and
screening calls
The second week l was with the receptionist being
taught on how to transfer, and answer calls from
different customers and suppliers not only that but
I was also taught on how to screen and record calls
which was very easy.
3 & 4 Receiving
products from
our suppliers
The third week I was deployed to the receiving
bay.SEEDCO receives products almost every day.
I learnt how to check the number of cartoons being
received against consignment note brought by the
transporter, the quantities invoiced against the
physical quantity, the batch numbers and the
expiry dates inscribed on the product containers.
The invoice content will then be recorded in the
receiving book before the products are carried
either to the farm products warehouse for storage.

1 Deployed in
the warehouse
In this week my supervisor taught me how to
merchandise products in the ware house according
to alphabetical order. This helped me to easily
identify the products I was looking for when
picking the up before sending them the dispatch
area. I was also taught the importance of expiry
dates hence why the products are supposed to be
shelved according to what is called first in first out
(FIFO) criteria or first expiry first out (FEFO)
criteria to avoid having expired drugs on the
shelves.
2 Assembling of
orders
Requested by customers and write on delivery notes
accompanied by invoices.
3 & 4 Delivering the
medical
products
Since SEEDCO offers transport facilities, I was
assigned to do the deliveries with one of my workmates,
