Q1. Give the structures of the following amino acids at pH = 6.02 with proper reasoning.
i) lysine ii) aspartic acid
Q2. Outline the synthesis of phenyl alanine starting from glycine.
Q3. Predict the product with stereochemical outcome of the following reaction and show the
mechanism with the help of orbital (HOMO) interaction.
Q4. Although Dewar benzene is less stable than its isomer benzene by 71 Kcal / mole, its conversion
into benzene is extremely slow with an Eact of about 37 Kcal / mole. Justify.
