2. About Kamarajar in Tamil
As we Celebrated Gandhi Jayanti (Mahatma Gandhi’s
Birthday) this month, I wanted to inform you that there was a
person who followed Gandhiji’s principles, accepting all his views
and lived like him and the man who died on the same date which
Gandhiji was born.
The men with Principles, the Kingmaker with “K”, the
Black Gandhi- he is none other than K Kamarajar. The great man
was born on July 15, 1903, to Kumaraswamy-Sivagami, he was the
first child of the couple.
His grandmother Parvathi had named him “Kamatchi” But
Father Kumaraswamy and Mother Sivagamy wanted to call him
“Raja”. Later, the Kamatchi” changed to Kamarajar.

3. Kamarajar Story in Tamil
The Rowlatt Act (The Anarchical and Revolutionary Crimes
Act) to suppress Gandhiji’s Satyagraha, Passed by the Imperial
Legislative Council in Delhi.
The Act Named after Sir Sidney, Rowlatt (President Rowlatt
Committee) which authorized the government to imprison any
Person (protester) without trial, based on the suspect of violence.
The newspaper rang a voice. All the March and public meetings
took place throughout the country.
On April 13, 1919, men, women and children gathered in
Jallianwala Bagh in Amritsar, Punjab. General Reginald Dyer, the
person who had sent 100 white soldiers and 50 Indian soldiers to
the area to kill everyone. 379 people were killed in one place; this is
the Jallianwala Bagh massacre.

The news spread through the newspapers and it stunned
the entire nation and he was like a man who broke his mind.
It was the turning point for nations freedom fight and to
put an end to British rule. On the other hand, he had to take care
of his widowed mother, old grandmother, younger sister. The pain
of living was in serious thought.
He devoted himself to the freedom struggle not to bear
anymore. Tamil Nadu Congress became a member of the CPI (M)
in order to fight. This is the beginning of his political career.

Kamrajar Participated in Salt Satyagraha and was
imprisoned for 2 years in 1930. Kamarjar became the CM of
Tamilnadu in 1954 after the Indian Independence.
The Best thing about Kamarajar’s rule in Tamilnadu was
that he made sure that education was reaching for all the poor and
he believed that only education has the power to change the
societal Barriers, including Local Development Works, Women
Welfare, rural Welfare, National Extension Scheme, Public
Health, Revenue Management and Local Administration.
K Kamarajar was a sensible man known for his simplicity
and Integrity.
