3. Intelligence Paragraph
Gardner developed a theory in which he determined that there are many different
types of intelligence, eight to be exact. These intelligence sets are linguistic, logical-
mathematical, musical, spatial, bodily/kinesthetic, intrapersonal, interpersonal, and
naturalistic. After taking one of the tests designed to determine my strengths in
these intelligences, I received results that seemed relatively close to what I believe
are true.
I found that my strengths were in visual/spatial, intrapersonal, and logic-
mathematical. My extreme weaknesses include naturalistic, musical, and linguistic.
These are all relatively close to how I feel about my self. My weaknesses are
generally true because I do not really have a knack for nature, trees, birds, etc; I also
have difficulty remembering lyrics to songs and remembering artist names. My
linguistic skills are not really strong either. I tend to have to really think before I can
write or give a speech. In sense of my strengths, I am very visual and have, I guess,
a slightly photographic memory. I very rarely study and I make good grades
because I can see my notes in my head during the test. Doing the questions in the
order of the notes really helps to get them right. My intrapersonal results also
exemplify me well because I am quiet and like to work alone. I know what my
capabilities are. I love math as well. It comes very naturally for me. This is why my
logic results are generally correct as well.
4. Visual/spatial
Visual: the brain
http://www.g2conline.org/2022
Assignment: This link is an online 3D model of a brain. Observe and define the parts of
the brain.
This would benefit my intelligence strengths because I am a visual learner, and it helps to
have a visual model in order to learn the parts and locations of the brain.
5. Intrapersonal
Intrapersonal: the senses
Assignment: make a list of scenarios throughout the day in which you use your senses
This assignment could benefit me because of my strength in intrapersonal intelligence. This
means I have great self-awareness, and I can recall important information about myself and my
surroundings.
6. Logic/mathematical
Logic-mathematics: research strategies-statistical reasoning
Assignment: perform a small survey in your school about the number of hours
spent every night studying and find the range, mean, median, mode, and standard
deviation of the data
This also benefits my intelligence strength because dealing with number comes
naturally to me. I enjoy to analyze data to come to conclusions that have strong
proof.
