Definition:
• Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) refer to the legal rights granted to
individuals or entities for their creations or inventions that are the result of
their intellectual or creative efforts.
Advantage:
• Intellectual property rights provide protection for intangible assets
• It protect innovation giving by creators and inventors
• Intellectual property rights provide allowance to use, sell, and control the
use of their intellectual creations.
Purpose:
• The purpose of intellectual property rights is to protect innovation and
creativity providing by creators and inventors for a limited period, allowing
them to get financial benefit from their work.
Purpose:
• Copyright: This protects original works of authorship, such as books, music,
art, and software.
• Patents: patents gives exclusive rights to inventors for their new and useful
inventions, preventing others from making, using, or selling the patented
invention without permission.
• Trademarks: These protect symbols, names, and slogans that identify and
distinguish goods and services in the marketplace.

• Trade Secrets: These are confidential business information, such
as manufacturing processes, formulas, and customer lists, which
provide a competitive advantage.
• Industrial Designs: These protect the visual design of objects,
such as the shape or surface ornamentation of a product.
